Creation Story The days leading up to my arrival in the Otway Ranges had been wet and very windy. The gusts had released the turning leaves from the overhanging creekside trees, scattering them across the riverbanks and rocks in beautiful yellow and brown flecks. The recent rain had left them glistening beneath the partially overcast sky. Wanting to capture the full extent of the scene before me, I divided the composition into 18 image segments, capturing 10 focus steps for each. This allowed me to create an extended depth of field and ultimately produce a very large, highly detailed original digital file.
